PRIVACY & COOKIES

Last updated: 25 September 2026.

Who we are

PHExpat is an independent blog at https://phexpat.com, edited by Jessie. For privacy questions or requests, email phexpatguide@gmail.com.

Information you provide

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to handle your inquiry, review corrections or consider story suggestions. Please send only information relevant to your request.

Where comments are available, WordPress collects the fields shown on the form, together with the IP address and browser information used for spam detection. Approved comments and the name you supply can be public; do not include private information in a comment.

Cookies and site operation

WordPress uses cookies for sign-in and administrative preferences. Where the comment form offers to remember your details, that choice can save your name, email and website in your browser. You can remove or block cookies through your browser settings; some functions may then work differently.

Analytics and third-party content

The site uses Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. Tags can support measurement and may process usage and device information or set cookies depending on their configuration. Google explains its data practices in its Privacy Policy. Contact us for questions about the site’s current tag configuration.

Articles may link to or embed content from other websites. Embedded content can allow its provider to receive information about your visit, set cookies and track interactions, particularly when you are signed into that provider. External sites have their own privacy practices.

WordPress may use Gravatar to display an avatar associated with a comment email address. See Automattic’s privacy notice for details. Site hosting, email and anti-spam services may process information needed to provide their functions.

Retention and requests

Comments and their metadata may remain in WordPress until removed. Correspondence may be retained to follow up inquiries and maintain an editorial record. To ask about information held about you, request a correction, or request deletion, contact the editor using the address above. We may need to verify that a request relates to your information; records needed for security, administration or other obligations may need to be retained.

Updates

This notice will be revised as the site’s features and data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
